History
Our construction roots in the Dakotas go back to the late 1890s when the Scull family homesteaded in western South Dakota.
The family originally immigrated to South Dakota across the Great Plains to White River. But before they reached their destination, the family was approached to sell the building materials they were packing. Building materials were in short supply in the desolate country, and someone needed them more than they did. So they sold their materials, moved on to White River, and began to search for a new batch of materials. It wasn’t long after settling in White River that it became apparent there was a need for putting up buildings and infrastructure. Out of necessity and focus, a construction mindset was born.
Scull Construction Service, Inc. was founded in 1985 and grew out of a four-person construction crew with a truck and some tools, and a desire to do challenging work. As projects were successfully completed, more projects came, and more challenging work came. Process and methodology started small and evolved.
Three decades of experience has led us to strive for perfection in our projects, community involvement and relationships. The foundation of Scull Construction Service is based on customer relationships and stewardship to our local communities. We take pride in completing high quality projects while promoting partnerships between the owner, architect, engineers, and contractors to create an atmosphere of trust. Scull Construction believes integrity, values, commitment, and honesty build amazing projects and amazing communities.
