Custer State Park Visitor Center
Scull Construction was very excited to be contracted to deliver the new world-class Visitors Center in Custer State Park. Located just east of the famous Game Lodge, the facility sits between the base of a hill and a pond on Highway 36, at the tip of the Wildlife Loop. Upon entering the center, guests are treated to a large educational and interpretive learning hall that is equipped with interactive exhibits, as well as a climbing wall that is a replica of the “Eye of the Needle”. The exhibit hall blends into the information booth, gift shop, and feature presentation theater, where guests are invited to take in some truly amazing views of the park in Ultra High Definition 4K resolution and digital surround-sound audio. This project was delivered on time for the peak season grand opening, and within budget, despite 45 days of unexpected weather delays.
