Scull Construction has completed a major renovation and expansion of the Rapid City Regional Airport’s terminal building. The new facility serves as a gateway to our area and showcases the character of western South Dakota. Features of the project include a renovated restaurant and stunning rooftop patio that offers amazing panoramic views of the surrounding area. Security has been expanded to handle three times the traffic, and the number of boarding gates has been increased to seven. A separate wing houses the rental car offices, and outbound passengers can now shop after going through security. The work was challenging, security was tight, and space was limited, but the project was completed on time while the airport continued to function smoothly.
