Scull Construction is proud to present the new Vandenberg Elementary School, built for the Douglas School District in Box Elder, SD. The new 78,000 square foot facility includes 24 classrooms, library, music areas, art room, gymnasium and commons area, as well as space for special education and administration.
The school brings education to students grade K-5, and is adjacent to their other school facilities. The masonry building provides ample daylight and incorporates sustainable design features, including a geothermal heating and cooling system. The site includes an entry courtyard, playgrounds, separate bus loop, student drop-off / pick-up area, staff parking and visitor / parent parking.
